What is boons and banes? Boons and banes is something that is either good or bad going to happen.

Rural or also well known as kampung is a place that can bring tourist to visit the beauty of the place.

Problem statements:

• The impacts of tourism towards village people

Objective of the research:

• Understands the positive and negative impacts of tourism in Malaysia towards the local community

• Deliberate on whether the rural places development is possible in helping economic growth

• Analyze how rural tourism can benefits to the local community

Figure 1 shows that in the years of 2020 and 2021 decrease drastically since Covid-19 happened, almost 100% of the tourism industry closed down. Based on statistics published by the Statista Research Department, tourism in Malaysia contribute 6.7% to gross domestic product in 2019.
